Q: Will there be any additional programs at the school?
A: Education is a full time process for students and families. With that in mind, the School will have evening and Saturday programs for families and students to support each student’s education process. The Bishop Walker School will not be a place to simply drop off a boy and pick him up later, expecting his education to be complete, but will rely on the active involvement of parents, guardians and the community at large.

Q. What will be the involvement of parents/guardians in support of the school?
A. We believe that education is a partnership between the school, students and their families. We want parents involved in every aspect of their child's education. Students and their families will sign an 'enrollment contract' with the school that lays out a series of expectations for parental involvement, including:

Volunteer opportunities will utilize the skills and talents of students’ families to enhance the educational process for every student.

Q. Will you offer programs to address the boys' social service needs?
A: We recognize that education does not take place in a vacuum. A student’s ability to focus and learn is affected by obstacles and challenges he faces outside the classroom. As such, we will work in close partnership with families and a wide range of established community agencies to ensure that each student has access to the health, social and community-based support services necessary to their academic and social development.

The curriculum will also include physical education, stressing healthy development of students’ bodies, fair-play, good sportsmanship and teamwork.
