BWS Announces 2nd Largest Gift in School History

I am happy to announce another milestone in Bishop Walker School history and for Securing Their Future: A Campaign for the Boys of the Bishop Walker School! The A. James and Alice B. Clark Foundation recently informed us that they have officially approved out capital campaign request in the amount of $750,000, along with a student sponsorship annually for the next three years—for a total of $804,000 in funding! This is the second largest gift in Bishop Walker School history, and it will continue to have a lasting impact on our students and their families well beyond the three-year term of the grant.

With this incredibly generous gift, we have now raised $5.65 million of the $6.5 million goal of Securing Their Future, and we are one step closer to fully financing the new school home for our students at THEARC and establishing a $1 million operating reserve.

I invite you to learn more about Securing Their Future and see our new facility in-person. From now through the summer, we have a number of tour dates open to the public, listed at bishopwalkerschool.org/tourdates. If you are interested in taking a tour of BWS and contributing to Securing Their Future, contact Director of Development David A. Shepard at dshepard@bishopwalkerschool.org.  I look forward to showing you the significant impact this incredible gift—along with your generous charitable contributions—are having on the lives of our students every day.

Gratefully,
