The Bishop John T. Walker School for Boys will celebrate its tenth Annual Dinner at the Washington National Cathedral on March 5, 2020. This event provides over thirty percent of the annual funds needed to support the education of ninety boys, drawn from traditionally underserved neighborhoods east of the Anacostia River in Washington, DC. Last year, more than 700 prominent individuals, foundations, and corporations gathered to celebrate our students, their families, and our mission. As we reach out to the philanthropic community in anticipation of next year’s event, we acknowledge the generous support of our 2019 Annual Dinner Sponsors and Committee Members, who raised and contributed $825,000 that directly benefited the Bishop Walker School.

The Bishop Walker School is an independent Episcopal day school with a mission to offer young boys a remarkable education and a strong academic, emotional, and spiritual foundation. An integrated curriculum, top notch, faculty, family partnerships, and an extraordinary state-of-the-art facility ensure the school’s success. Furthermore, a deep partnership with the Cathedral Close community offers boys an opportunity to experience a part of the city and history that makes their educational experience unique and powerful. Overall, the Bishop Walker School seeks to instill in our boys the confidence and self-awareness to reach their full potential and become future role models and leaders.

We hope you will join us as a Sponsor for the 2020 Annual Dinner, which will honor the school’s founding Executive Director, James Woody, upon his retirement, and ensure the continuation of our outstanding program.
